For Valentines Day weekend, Nate and I decided to take a 5 day trip to Washington and Oregon! We flew into Seattle first and spent 2 days there. The city was filled with unbeatable food and coffee, exquisite urban parks, and darling neighborhoods. I loved it more than I thought I would actually, and encourage anyone who can, to visit this seriously awesome city!
We went to 5 coffee shops while there, and besides the constant state of panic (kidding.sort of. not really.) the caffeine put me in- this was so much fun! Our favorite pour over was at Milstead & Co. but the best shop over all was Storyville. You’ll see photos of it below…huge windows, comfy couches, fireplace, and…they even gave us free warm chocolate cake (!?!?!) while we sipped our espresso. Our tastiest brunch was at Oddfellows Cafe, not only a killer menu (including gf biscuits) but adorable atmosphere as well. And finally, the dinner that blew our minds was at Local 360, located downtown, filled with cozy two seater booths, barn wood walls, candle lit tables, and food that we still talk about more than we’d probably admit.
Our favorite activities in the city were hiking Discovery Park, exploring the old houses (and really good foodie scene) in Capitol Hill, and taking the ferry to Bainbridge Island. The park is huge, and worth the hours it takes to really explore it. And the ferry was so peaceful, giving you really impressive views of the city (plus this is a great opportunity to pretend to be Meredith Grey- if that means anything to you at all).
Most of our photos are from those three places, and I only hope they somewhat do this beautiful city justice!
I just loved you Seattle, and I think you loved me too.
